Subdued Coup Attempt Leaves Bolivia in Turmoil

International Community Condemns Coup Attempt

Police in Bolivia have apprehended the mastermind behind a failed coup attempt that targeted the presidential palace in La Paz, the nation's capital.

A deeply polarized country, Bolivia has a tumultuous history marked by 190 coups in its 200 years of independence.

In a swift response, President Luis Arce curtailed the live coverage of the incident, urging citizens to remain informed but not overwhelmed by the crisis.

Amidst global outcry, the coup attempt has been dissolved, with international leaders expressing condemnation.

"We denounce any form of coup detat in Bolivia," stated Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.

The Bolivian military official in question had previously governed Bolivia as de facto leader from 1980 to 1981, following a successful coup.

Both the Bolivian government and the international community have unequivocally condemned the coup attempt.
